"Ten Thousand Things" is a Buddhist expression representing the dynamic interconnection and simultaneous unity and diversity of everything in the universe.


Party for Good Causes with People for Social Change – June 14th in Tokyo

"Skylines," a networking party raising money for local groups, is holding a party on Saturday June 14, on the 20th floor of the Shinsei Bank HQ in Central Tokyo. You can savor the distinctive food of Fujimama's restaurant, talk with a variety of interesting and socially active people, and enjoy jazz while taking in the sunset. There will be brief presentations by the nonprofits as well as a raffle!

Funds raised will go to three local nonprofit organizations: Tokyo Shure, Kalakasan Migrant women's empowerment center and Polaris Project Japan.

DATE/TIME: June 14, 4:00-7:30 - we're staying for the sunset!
LOCATION: Shinsei Bank HQ 20th floor

TICKETS/Donation for participation:
5,000 yen for reservations and payments completed before June 1
7000 yen for reservations and payments completed June 1-10 (limited to 200 people)
Ticket includes appetizers (great selection by Fujimama's restaurant), one drink and music (DJ TBA).

Funds raised from cash donations, drinks, raffle and a portion of the ticket cost will go to 3 nonprofit organizations working locally:
Tokyo Shure (An alternative education center for Japanese youth),
Kalakasan Migrant women's empowerment center (Programs for victims & survivors of domestic violence)
Polaris Project Japan (Outreach and services for victims of human trafficking)

Organized by People for Social Change in collaboration with Foreign Executive Women, Development Executives, NPO Social Concierge, Japanese-American Citizens League, IWIC, Parties for Peace and Net Impact, with generous support from Fujimama's Restaurant and Shinsei Ban.

People for Social Change is a Tokyo-based volunteer group committed to a wide range of social issues. We facilitate people moving beyond issues awareness through forums, skills development workshops, networking events & projects aimed at linking people to social change programs. Our goal is for people to get others actively involved in their own communities.
