100 Years of Japanese Immigration: Multiple identities of the Nikkei community – Symposium in Sao Paulo on September 20, 2008

DISCOVER NIKKEI, a global outreach project of the Japanese American National Museum, presents a symposium honoring the centennial celebration of Japanese immigration to Brazil.
 
The symposium, to be held in Sao Paulo on September 20, will cover Nikkei contributions to the agricultural industry, explore Japanese Brazilian identity as expressed through art, and examine the issues concerning migrant labor between Brazil and Japan.
 
This event is free, but space is limited, so please RSVP to rsvp[at]discovernikkei.org if you would like to attend.
