“I aim to reveal the photographic nature of our everyday world, particularly that which tends to be overlooked. Seeing clearly enough to do this is not easy, and in my case what Buddhists call monkey mind has long fogged the windows. But we can learn to slow down and calm the mind, intermittently clear the fog, and experience moments of fresh perception. This is my ongoing project.”
GLENN GALE was born and raised in New York State. He obtained an engineering Ph.D., and his subsequent career in technology led him to Japan where he is now based in Tokyo. He is the author of many technical publications and patents. Long interested in various arts, in recent years he has studied contemplative photography, through which he seeks to capture and share his perceptions of our everyday world.
