Bernd Schellhorn ベアント シェルホルン
BERND SCHELLHORN came to Japan at age 24 to study traditional Japanese culture and art as an apprentice under accomplished masters of traditional ceramics. He returned to Germany after 5 years in Japan to study art history, aesthetics and philosophy, and worked for ten years at leading contemporary art galleries in Berlin and New York. Thereafter he became an independent art adviser & private art dealer, based in Berlin. During subsequent visits to Japan, Bernd studied at various highly respected restaurants and in kitchens specialized in traditional Japanese cuisines, with a focus on authentic shōjin ryori. Currently he hosts salon type lunch/dinner events in Japan and abroad and introduces selected works of Japanese art to collectors & art connoisseurs.
24歳で来日し、内弟子として陶芸の大家のもとで修行、日本の伝統文化と芸術を学ぶ。5年間の滞在後、ドイツに帰国し美術史・美学・哲学を学び、ベルリンとニューヨークの著名な現代アートギャラリーで10年間勤務。その後ベルリンを拠点にアートアドバイザー兼プライベートアートディーラーとして独立。その後、しばしば日本を訪れ、伝統的な日本料理、特に本格的な精進料理を専門とする数々の名店で研鑽を積む。現在は国内外でサロン形式のランチ／ディナーイベントを主催し、選りすぐった日本美術＆工芸作品をコレクターや美術愛好家に紹介している。

MITSUE NAGASE Studied photography in Canada and Miksang contemplative photography in the U.S. She has lived in Wajima on the Noto Peninsula since 2010. She has shown her photographs internationally and taught some workshops. Her book on Zen Gardens in Kyoto—Gardens of Awakening— was published with Kazuaki Tanahashi by Shambhala Publications in 2024.
カナダで写真、アメリカで内観的な写真法(Miksang)を勉強した。2010年から輪島市に住む。国内外で展覧会やワークショップを開催。2024年Shambhala Publicationsより”Gardens of Awakening”v出版。
