■略歴

1978年・大阪に生まれる

1996 年・大阪市立工芸高校デザイン科卒業

1999年・京都伝統工芸専門校漆芸科修了

2001年・京都市伝統産業技術後継者育成研修漆工本科、専科修了

2001年・漆芸家服部俊昇氏に師事

2007年・独立

滋賀県大津市の自宅工房にて制作

 

■一言

和紙や地の粉などの素材の質感を残した漆塗りの器に、

蒔絵・漆絵の技法を用いて絵付けし、独特の雰囲気の漆器を制作しています。

Biography

Born in 1978 in Osaka, Japan

1996 Graduated from the Design Department, Osaka Municipal Kogei High School

1999 Completed the Lacquerware Course at Kyoto Traditional Crafts Training School

2001 Completed both the Advanced and Specialized Courses at the Kyoto City Traditional Industry Successor Training Program (Lacquerware)

2001 Apprenticed under lacquer artist Shunsho Hattori

2007 Established her independent practice

Currently works from her home studio in Otsu City, Shiga

 

Artist Statement

Yano creates lacquerware that preserves the textures of materials such as washi paper and jinoko clay. Using maki-e and urushi painting techniques, she decorates each piece to evoke a distinctive and atmospheric presence.
